Zscaler argues frontier AI strengthens case for digital sovereignty

Zscaler has published a piece arguing that the rise of frontier AI makes digital sovereignty more urgent, not less. The company says recent models such as Anthropic’s Claude Mythos and OpenAI’s GPT-5.5-Cyber have expanded the attack surface and raised strategic questions about resilience and control.
The piece cites the European Commission’s Tech Sovereignty Package and the proposed Cloud and AI Development Act, and outlines Zscaler’s five principles of sovereignty: choice, control, continuity, collaboration and compliance. It also announces a partnership with Schwarz Digits to offer a sovereign Zero Trust SASE service hosted in STACKIT data centres.
