Wiz adds support for Amazon SageMaker to secure AI workloads

Wiz has extended its cloud security platform to Amazon SageMaker, giving data scientists and machine learning engineers visibility into the security of the models they build, train, and deploy on the service. The integration covers SageMaker Notebook instances, detecting risks such as public accessibility, excessive permissions, and potential data poisoning.
Wiz’s Cloud Detection and Response can also spot pre-signed URLs for notebooks that could let attackers in without authentication. The company’s Security Graph maps attack paths that could lead to data leakage from models built on sensitive data.
Stability AI, which develops open AI models for image, language, audio, and video, is using Wiz to secure its infrastructure and APIs. Wiz also plans to support Amazon Bedrock, AWS’s managed service for foundation models, to protect generative AI applications.
