VIAVI achieves CMMC Level 2 certification for aerospace and defence lines

VIAVI Solutions has completed CMMC Level 2 certification for the radio test, avionics, synthetic and modular, and Position, Navigation and Timing product lines of its Aerospace and Defense division. The assessment was carried out by C3PAO A-LIGN.

CMMC is the US Department of Defense standard for protecting Controlled Unclassified Information on Defence Industrial Base systems and networks, and certification is mandatory for entities doing business with the department.

Doug Russell, senior vice president and general manager of Aerospace and Defense at VIAVI, said the certification reinforces the company’s role as a trusted partner to the DIB, and that VIAVI intends to extend it to the Inertial Labs product lines acquired in 2025.
