UAE Cybersecurity Council and Veeam partner on national cyber-resilience

The UAE Cybersecurity Council has signed a partnership with Veeam covering national cyber-resilience, cybersecurity skills development and trusted data and cyber-recovery capabilities. The agreement sets out a framework for co-operation on training, technical exercises, resilience preparedness, research and development and strategic stakeholder engagement.
The work will include workshops, training programmes, technical working sessions and exercises to help public and private sector organisations prepare for, respond to and recover from cyber-incidents. Veeam will contribute training and certification programmes, executive briefings, technical workshops and recovery exercises, alongside role-based learning and simulation environments.
The partnership aligns with the Council’s Centre of Excellence framework, which focuses on capacity building, emerging technology development, governance and public-private collaboration. Dr Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government, said the collaboration reflects the importance of trusted public-private work in advancing cyber-recovery and the secure adoption of AI.
