Criminal AI tool Kriminal is mostly just Grok with a jailbreak, ThreatDown finds

ThreatDown’s analysis of Kriminal, a service marketed as an unrestricted AI for criminal use, reveals it is built on xAI’s Grok, accessed via a jailbreak. The service, which starts at $12.99 per month, is not hidden on the dark web but operates on the clearnet with a public website.

Its code and system prompt show it layers a prompt injection over legitimate models, including Grok and Anthropic’s Claude, to bypass safety guardrails. The operators use a crypto payment processor and cloud hosting, making takedown difficult as it would require multiple abuse reports.

Kriminal is part of a growing trend of criminal AI tools, with thousands of uncensored models available on Hugging Face.
