The Agentic AI threat cluster: Seven incidents, three actors, and what they mean for your exposure
Image: Tenable

Tenable’s Research Special Operations team has identified a cluster of seven agentic AI threat incidents, anchored by a confirmed near-autonomous attack on Taiwanese government systems in July 2026. The cluster also includes the JADEPUFFER actor and the knaithe/KnYuan operator, both using open-source AI agent frameworks.

Tenable says the common entry point is identity and authentication exposure, and recommends auditing public-facing authentication surfaces and deploying behavioural detection.
