Rubrik and SentinelOne shares fall despite earnings beats

Rubrik and SentinelOne both saw their shares fall in late trading despite beating revenue and earnings expectations for their fiscal second quarters. Rubrik dropped about 8% even after lifting its full-year outlook, while SentinelOne fell nearly 4% on a soft annual profit forecast.
Rubrik reported adjusted earnings of 20 cents per share on revenue of $427.3 million, up 38% year-over-year, beating analyst estimates. Subscription revenue grew 37% to $407.2 million, and subscription ARR reached $1.66 billion, up 33%. The company also introduced Rubrik AI, extended Agent Cloud to Anthropic’s Claude Code, and acquired identity startup Strata.io.
SentinelOne reported revenue of $292 million, up 21%, and adjusted earnings of 8 cents per share, double the prior year, both ahead of expectations. ARR grew 22% to $1.218 billion. However, its full-year adjusted earnings guidance of 30 to 32 cents per share came in below the 32 to 38 cents forecast in May and below analyst expectations of about 35 cents.
Both companies had closed the regular session up nearly 11% before the after-hours declines. The results follow strong quarters from CrowdStrike and Okta, which both raised their outlooks and saw their shares rise.
