Human risk management firm Pistachio has acquired Norwegian cyber-risk management platform Hugin Cybersecurity. The acquisition will let Pistachio launch a cybersecurity compliance and posture management service, set to arrive in 2027.

Pistachio, founded in 2023 and based in Oslo, focuses on reducing the risk that employees or compromised accounts become an entry point for attack. Its platform automates security awareness training and phishing simulation.

Hugin helps growing businesses assess and manage their cybersecurity posture and regulatory compliance. The combined offering will support standards including ISO 27001, NIS2, SOC 2 and DORA, as UK and EU cybersecurity legislation tightens.
