Optiv appoints Sean Forkan as chief revenue officer

Optiv, the world’s largest pure-play cybersecurity company, has appointed Sean Forkan as chief revenue officer. Forkan will lead the company’s global revenue organisation and go-to-market strategy, bringing together its scale, expertise and partner ecosystem to deepen client relationships and accelerate growth.

Forkan brings more than 30 years of experience leading global sales organisations across cybersecurity, SaaS, hardware, software and consulting. He previously served as chief revenue officer at Black Duck Software and held leadership roles at VMware/Broadcom, Cisco, Oracle, Symantec/Veritas and EY.

Optiv CEO Kevin Lynch said the appointment comes as cybersecurity reaches an inflection point, with clients needing partners that can deliver more than technology. Forkan said the company’s combination of specialisation, technical depth and partner reach is difficult to replicate, and he sees significant opportunity to connect its full capabilities to client priorities.
