KnowBe4 launches Defend for Google Workspace

KnowBe4 has introduced KnowBe4 Defend for Google Workspace, an API-integrated security and coaching engine built natively for Gmail. The product brings the same multi-engine behavioural AI threat detection, explainable verdict evidence, automated cross-mailbox remediation and point-of-risk teachable moments that Defend offers for Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace customers.

The launch responds to the rise of AI-driven attacks such as business email compromise, executive impersonation and vendor supply-chain fraud. Defend evaluates incoming message intent across linguistic, relational, header and attachment signals simultaneously, and aims to bridge technical detection with real behaviour change by coaching employees at the point of risk.

KnowBe4 says the product addresses the lack of an integrated security layer for Gmail that combines advanced pre-execution threat detection, real-time employee coaching and rapid SOC remediation without adding mailflow friction.
