Hero Esports launches CyberHero robotic sports initiative in Riyadh

Hero Esports has unveiled CyberHero, a new global robotic sports initiative, with its first live event set for Riyadh on 9 September 2026. The showcase will feature ten EngineAI T800 humanoid robots competing in a kickboxing event, the first of its kind in the Middle East.
The initiative was introduced by Hero Esports CEO Danny Tang during LEAP, where he appeared alongside Saudi Esports Federation CEO Rawan AlButairi and ESL FACEIT Group CEO Niccolo Maisto. The company plans a series of CyberHero events in major cities worldwide, combining robotic competition with live entertainment.
Alongside the event, Hero Esports will launch the CyberHero Saudi-China Scholar Program, offering up to 30 Saudi students visits to Chinese cities to explore the robotics and Physical AI ecosystem. Hero Esports is backed by Savvy Games Group and Tencent and organises more than 7,000 esports competitions annually.
