Guardio raises $40m at $1.1bn valuation

Guardio, a consumer cybersecurity company, has raised $40m in a funding round that values it at $1.1bn. The round included investment from Assaf Rappaport, co-founder and CEO of Wiz, alongside existing investors ION Crossover Partners, Union Tech Ventures, Vintage Investment Partners, Cerca Partners and Emerge Ventures. Total funding to date is $167m.
The company said it has grown revenue more than 100% year-over-year for four consecutive years, reaching one million paying customers and $150m in annual recurring revenue. It plans to use the new funding to strengthen its suite of protection for consumers’ digital presence.
Guardio protects individuals rather than devices, monitoring messages, email, calls and web activity to shut down scams before victims engage. The company says AI has democratised cybercrime, making sophisticated attacks cheap and easy, and that traditional device-based security is no longer sufficient.
