Fortinet has acquired Virtue AI, a company that provides security for AI models, applications, and agentic systems. The acquisition strengthens Fortinet’s Security for AI strategy and its vision for securing the agentic enterprise.

Virtue AI’s technology extends Fortinet’s existing AI security portfolio, which includes FortiAIGate, a product that safeguards large language models from prompt injections, data leakage, and other AI-specific risks. Virtue AI’s Guardian Agent provides automated validation and real-time protection for AI systems from development through runtime.

According to Gartner, the market for securing AI ecosystems and AI agents is expected to grow from $2.8 billion in 2026 to $16.4 billion by 2030. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
