Fortinet has acquired Virtue AI, a company that provides security and governance for AI models, conversational applications, and autonomous agents. The financial terms were not disclosed, but Fortinet said the amount was immaterial to its business.

Virtue AI’s platform includes automated red-teaming that uses over 100 proprietary attack algorithms across hundreds of attack vectors and risk categories. It also offers real-time runtime guardrails and monitors agents to block unsafe actions before execution.

Fortinet said the acquisition will enhance its AI security offering, including for models, applications, and agentic systems. Virtue AI had raised $30 million in seed and Series A funding in 2025.
