Echo Software Ltd., a startup using AI agents to secure container images, has acquired the assets of Minimus Inc. following Minimus’s wind-down. The deal expands Echo’s support for multiple Linux distributions.

Echo rebuilds software artifacts to replace vulnerable open-source components before they reach production, providing hardened containers, libraries, and Helm charts. Minimus had built a catalog of minimal, hardened containers that strip away unnecessary tooling to reduce attack surfaces.

Echo will integrate Minimus’s technology and data into its AI agent platform, which investigates vulnerabilities and develops patches. The acquisition follows Echo’s $35m Series A funding in December, led by N47.
