Cyware partners with WaterISAC to bring AI threat intelligence to US water utilities

Cyware, which sells agentic AI-powered operational threat intelligence and collective defence technology, has partnered with WaterISAC, the information-sharing organisation for the US water sector. The agreement gives water and wastewater utilities real-time, AI-powered threat intelligence through WaterISAC, with the aim of streamlining information sharing across the community.
Cyware said the deal will enhance intelligence collection, enrichment and response beyond manual processes, cutting the effort WaterISAC analysts spend on distributing relevant intelligence and vulnerabilities. Tom Stockmeyer, Cyware’s managing director for government and critical infrastructure, said adversaries targeting operational technology now move at machine speed.
WaterISAC executive director Tom Dobbins said the organisation already serves more than 20,000 of the sector’s smallest utilities through its partnership with the National Rural Water Association, and that Cyware stood out in a rigorous evaluation of available platforms. The US has more than 50,000 water utilities, which the announcement describes as potential points of failure.
