Cylake raises $245m ahead of cybersecurity platform beta

Cybersecurity startup Cylake has raised $245m to accelerate development of its sovereign security platform, bringing total funding to $290m since its launch six months ago. The round was raised through a convertible note with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Picture Capital and Redpoint Ventures.
The company emerged from stealth in March 2026 with a $45m seed led by Greylock Partners and has since grown to more than 40 employees. It plans to use the new funding to expand its team and develop the platform ahead of a beta release expected by the end of 2026, with general availability scheduled for 2027.
Cylake is building an AI-native cybersecurity platform designed to run entirely on premises or in private cloud environments, targeting government agencies and highly regulated enterprises that cannot depend on public cloud infrastructure. The company was co-founded by CEO Nir Zuk, formerly CTO of Palo Alto Networks, along with Wilson Xu and Ehud Shamir, who previously worked at Palo Alto Networks and SentinelOne.
