Cloudflare launches public certificate authority for post-quantum web

Cloudflare has announced a public certificate authority that issues automated certificates to anyone who needs them. The service is designed for current TLS deployments and hardened for the arrival of quantum computing, which is expected to break widely used public-key cryptography.

The move puts Cloudflare into the certificate authority market alongside established providers, and gives it a route to push post-quantum algorithms into mainstream web traffic ahead of standards bodies finalising migration timelines.
