Cloudflare launches Basin data platform for general availability

Cloudflare has made its serverless data analytics platform generally available and renamed it Cloudflare Basin. The platform was announced during Birthday Week 2025 as the Cloudflare Data Platform and has been in open beta since then.
Basin is built on Apache Iceberg and R2 Object Storage, and comprises three products: Pipelines for ingestion, Catalog for storage, and SQL for querying. Cloudflare said Pipelines now supports ingesting up to 3GB/s per stream, and that Catalog automatically compacts metadata and data files as datasets grow.
The company said free egress and usage-based pricing let developers read and write data with any Iceberg-compatible engine, including PyIceberg, DuckDB, Snowflake and Apache Spark. Bobsled, a data product platform, said Basin lets it distribute data products across regions at a fraction of the cost.
