Brinqa Inc., an exposure management company, has acquired PlexTrac Inc., a provider of offensive security validation and reporting software, for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition adds penetration testing validation to Brinqa’s platform, which prioritises exposures identified by scanners, cloud accounts and application security tools.

Brinqa said the combined companies serve more than 3,000 customers in 57 countries, including over 25% of the Fortune 500, making it the largest standalone vendor in unified exposure management. PlexTrac’s products will continue to be sold as standalone offerings, with the option to integrate into Brinqa’s platform later.

PlexTrac founder Dan DeCloss will join Brinqa’s executive leadership team and board, and will lead the combined offensive security practice.
