Bitdefender partners with Aruba to host sovereign security platform in Italy

Bitdefender has partnered with Italian cloud and data centre provider Aruba S.p.A. to host its cybersecurity platform on Aruba’s cloud infrastructure. The arrangement is designed to keep customer and configuration data, security events and telemetry within the European Union, with no transfer or processing outside it.
Under the deal, Aruba will resell Bitdefender’s full portfolio of business security products and services, covering threat prevention, protection, detection and response. The platform at the centre of the partnership is Bitdefender GravityZone, which provides endpoint protection, endpoint detection and response, extended detection and response, and cloud-native security, along with managed detection and response services.
Aruba supplies the underlying infrastructure while Bitdefender retains operational control of the platform, with customer data encrypted and under its exclusive management. The two companies said the offering targets EU organisations with strict data residency or sovereignty requirements, particularly in the public sector, financial services, healthcare, education, critical infrastructure, energy and manufacturing, where GDPR, NIS2 and DORA compliance is a core requirement.
The announcement follows Bitdefender’s earlier sovereignty-focused partnerships with OVHcloud in France and secunet in Germany.
