BackBox Introduces the Kilter Platform, Bringing Responsible AI to Network Operations

BackBox has introduced Kilter AI, an AI-powered intelligence layer for its Network Cyber Resilience Platform, which has been renamed Kilter. The company positions Kilter AI as a trusted advisor for NetSecOps teams rather than a fully autonomous system, keeping humans in control of decisions.

Kilter AI is built on BackBox’s responsible AI principles and provides insights, recommendations and automations across the platform. It is available now as part of the Kilter Platform, which also includes Kilter ALM for lifecycle management and Kilter Enterprise for compliance and policy.

BackBox says the launch responds to growing pressure to automate network operations amid rising vulnerabilities and a shortage of staff. The company has received recognition for its AI approach, including a 2026 A.I. Award for Best AI-driven Automation Solution.
