AWS has launched Continuum, an AI-powered vulnerability management platform, at AWS Summit New York on June 17. The platform manages the full lifecycle of code vulnerabilities, from discovery to remediation, and is available in gated preview.

Continuum starts in learn mode with a human in the loop, providing reasoning behind every recommendation. Users can graduate it to enforce mode for increasingly automated remediation based on defined categories and risk profiles.

The platform includes AWS Security Agent, which uses frontier AI models to assist with penetration testing, code scanning, and threat modelling, with results in STRIDE format. AWS said the launch was driven by the need to shift from traditional telemetry-based security operations to a model incorporating telemetry, context, reasoning, and actions.

Customers in financial services, automotive, and technology are already using the platform.
