ARIA Cybersecurity expands AZT PROTECT deployment at pharmaceutical producer

ARIA Cybersecurity, a CSPi business, has announced a second deployment of its AZT PROTECT product inside the production infrastructure of a leading pharmaceutical producer. The drug maker wanted to keep critical applications running without disruption, since any outage would cut revenue and could force in-process pharmaceuticals to be discarded.
According to ARIA, AZT PROTECT locks production applications against unintended updates and blocks non-approved applications from running on production devices. The company said the product protects critical applications without needing updates from the internet, and can stop code-based exploits that would otherwise require vendor patches, as well as current AI-driven attacks.
The pharmaceutical producer’s director of production operations said the company spent considerable time on its selection and that AZT met expectations for ease of deployment and operation. Gary Southwell, president of ARIA Cybersecurity, said the work should help the customer improve production margins while lowering its risk of attack.
