Aitech has introduced the C165, a rugged 6U VME single board computer aimed at defence and aerospace programmes that need to modernise fielded VME systems without re-architecting their platforms. The board is built on an 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1185GRE Tiger Lake UP3 processor with integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics.

The C165 supports up to 32GB of LPDDR4X memory and up to 4TB of secure NVMe storage, and includes Aitech’s AiSecure cybersecurity framework with TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, Intel Boot Guard, encrypted storage and secure erase. It is pin-compatible with Aitech’s earlier C164 and C163 boards, giving existing customers an upgrade path that preserves qualified hardware and software.

Aitech said the board targets workloads such as mission computing, ISR processing, video analytics and sensor-driven applications. The company is showcasing the C165 at the Air & Space Forces Association Air, Space & Cyber Conference in National Harbor, Maryland, and said it is available now for mission development and platform modernisation programmes.
