InsideCyberSec is a record of the cybersecurity market: the companies, the products they sell, the money behind them, and the news that moves them, organised by market category and kept up to date every day.
Our story
We started InsideCyberSec in 2026 because the information we kept needing was scattered. A company’s funding history lived in a database behind a paywall, its acquisitions in three different press releases, its product line on its own website, and the context for all of it in a dozen trade publications. Pulling that together for one vendor took an afternoon. Doing it for a whole category was not realistic for anyone without a research desk.
The idea was simple: collect the public record once, properly, and keep it. Every story we publish links to where it came from. Every company profile is built from what has been reported about that company and from what it says about itself on its own site, with the sources shown. A timeline on a brand page is not something an editor maintains; it is the stories and deals we have recorded about that company, in date order. When a new story arrives, the timeline is already up to date.
The site is published by the team at Content Visit. Our background is in content and search for technology companies, which is where the frustration with finding good market information came from.
How the site is built
News arrives from a set of cybersecurity publications, wire services and vendor newsrooms. Each item is filtered for market events (funding, acquisitions, launches, partnerships, appointments, layoffs, listings), checked against what we have already covered, and summarised in our own words with a link to the original. An AI model does the first pass of reading and classifying; what gets published is reviewed and, where we got it wrong, removed or corrected.
Company and product profiles are filled in from the company’s own website: what it does, where it is based, when it was founded, who runs it. Funding totals and stages are calculated from the deals we have recorded, each of which is dated from the original announcement and linked to its source. If a number on the site cannot be traced to a source, it should not be there, and we would like to hear about it.
What we do not do
We do not rank vendors, and nobody can pay to be ranked. A basic listing in the directory is free and is offered to any cybersecurity company. Where a placement is paid for, it is marked as sponsored wherever it appears. Contributed features carry the author’s name and company, and say so if the author has an interest in the subject.
Corrections and contact
If a profile is wrong, a story is mis-attributed, or a company is missing, email us. Corrections are made on the page itself, not buried in a separate notice.
