A-LIGN acquires offensive security firm Pathfynder

A-LIGN, a cybersecurity compliance company, has acquired Pathfynder, a veteran-owned offensive and defensive security firm. The acquisition expands A-LIGN’s service offerings for enterprises with complex security needs.

Pathfynder’s team of specialists with military and intelligence experience provides penetration testing, red teaming, adversary emulation, and forensics and incident response. The team will operate as Pathfynder by A-LIGN, maintaining independence from A-LIGN’s assurance and assessment practice.

A-LIGN said the deal responds to an AI-accelerated threat landscape where compliance alone is no longer sufficient. Existing A-LIGN customers will gain access to advanced security testing without managing another vendor relationship.
